The
majority of states require a company or an individual to be a
“Registered Agent”. This individual or company must be registered
with the state where the corporation is formed. The agent is responsible
to receive and forward various documentation between the principals and
the state / other entities:
-
Service of process on the corporation
-
Official state and federal mail
-
State franchise tax or annual reports
An added benefit from using a registered
agent is the relative degree of anonymity that certain business owners
prefer.
You
can perform the functions of the Registered Agent if you have an office
or a P.O.Box in the state(s) where you will need such a registration.
Our incorporation package includes one year of Registered Agent fees
($99).
